Rosés and reds with such fame. The main characteristic of this DO Cigales is its differentiated rosé, which has been the development of a mixture of high-quality red varieties (similar in structure to Ribera de Duero) and white varieties.
One of the reasons why this diversity of grapes has been created is the establishment of these varieties to our soil, climate and cultural practices.
The Cigales DO extends across the northern sector of the Duero depression, on both banks of the Pisuerga River. The vineyards are located at an average altitude of 750 meters, covering from part of the municipality of Valladolid to Dueñas (Palencia).
