Priorat Wine Tourism Trip
The Priorat Denomination of Origin has a very peculiar plot and climate.
The vineyard is grown at altitudes ranging between 100 and 750 meters above sea level and on slopes that have a slope of 60% in some cases. As a consequence, the vineyard cannot be worked with agricultural machinery, which gives rise to what is called heroic viticulture.
Due to the specific soil and climate of the region, the vines planted here tend to suffer and, consequently, crop yields are very low, but this gives the wines produced in this area a very unique personality, like its environment. . The slate soils called llicorelles support the vineyards in this mountainous area with steep slopes.
