in the sacral ribeira
Trip to the Ribeira Sacra
If something characterizes the Ribeira Sacra, it is the slopes drawn by the stone terraces that reflect the ancient structures in the Miño, Sil rivers and their tributaries that are distributed between the municipalities of the south of Lugo and the north of Ourense.
These terraces, built by the Romans to cope with poverty and the steep slopes of the terrain, give the region great uniqueness. They maintain what is called Heroic Viticulture and, indeed, the name does them justice.
The Ribeira Sacra Denomination of Origin was established in 1996. It includes vineyards located in the Ribeira Sacra area, in the provinces of Lugo and Orense, in Galicia. At Tempranillo our priority is that you enjoy everything that surrounds wine and understand its nature in depth.

What to see in Ribeira Sacra?
Under the protection of the Ribeira Sacra rivers, it creates a microclimate that, along with its steep slopes, helps the grapes ripen correctly. The history of these grapes was already recognized in the time of the Romans, who described Ribeira Sacra wine as Liquid Gold of the Sil.
There are many things to see in Ribeira Sacra, from the Monasteries and viewpoints of Sal to walking the walkways of the Mao River
